I have been enjoying The Sims franchise since 2002, when I was 10 years old. Back when I first played The Sims, I enjoyed goofing around, and trying the different things. At first I mostley liked to erarn money, so I could buy better things and build a nice house. But then I discovered cheat codes, and I started to get expansion packs. The first expansion I wanted, was actually Unleshed - but I quickly got tire of playing with the animals. I had the most fun with Hot Date, Superstar and Making magic. I uselly played with one female sim, and I rarely had children
When The sims 2 came out, I was very exited. The first thing I did, was making a family. I enjoyed making my sim have kids, take care of the kids and see them grow up. But when the kids became Teenagers I uselly got tired of the family - Unless I made them go to university and then got tired of them when they graduated. Alot of the new things from the expansions, was something I tryed with my families. I had the most fun with was University, Open for Buisness and Freetime.
I remember that one of my friends once told me, how many sims she had, from birth to death. I had never even played long enough with a sim for him/ her to die, so the idea of having a sim from birth to death was new to me.
When sims 3 came out, I had alot of mixed feelings about it. The open world was really exiting, and I really liked the traits making up the sims personality. But I didnt like the style, I thought the sims were ugly and theere were some unfinsihed animation that bothered me (like the cars teleporting onto the road). I allso didnt like that you can only have one active family per town. I playex alot with families, and I had alot of sims from birth to death. When the first exspansions came (world adventure) I was exited and wanted to explore it all. I remember making a sims I wanted to use for that purpose, but I quickly got tired of him, since I didnt know what to do when he wasent out exploring. I had different families try world adventure, but I never actually exoplored it all. As new exspansions came out, I peffered the once that added to the family life aspect. My favorite were Generations, Pets and Seasons, but I allso really enjoyed Ambitions. Showtime, supernatural and University were expansions I barely used. I had wanted them to be something else, and I felt like they didnt work verry well with my family play. In Showtime I was first verry exited that you could be a singer, but then I was annoyed that you could only be a pop singer - I wanted to be able to change the style. With supernatural I started a family, with a werewolf and a fairy. But having dad and the children turning into beasts, when there were a fullmoon, was not what I wanted. I allso didnt want to see supernatural beings, running around in my town all the time. When it comes to university, It simple wasent what I wanted and had hoped for.
When Island paradise came out, I ignored it at first. But then I thought about it, and watched someone play it on youtube. I started wanting it, but I was afraid I wouldent use it. I thought about what kind of sims, would be fun to have for testing new exspansions packs. I caem up with the name Tess Tingsim, because it sounds like testing sim.
I had alot og fun with her and Paradise Island. When sims 4 came out, I made a new Tess Tingsim, to test it and all the exspansions. If I ever go back to sims 3, I will probably send her to university ( giving it another chance ) or see if I can finlly explore all of world adventure. But for now, she is verry busy with everything sims 4 has to offer.
